On January 26th, 2017, Intel Corporation reported earnings for fourth quarter and full year 2016. The results showed solid improvements from the previous quarter and overall 2016.

Revenue produced by Intel Corporation for the fourth quarter of 2016 was $16.4 billion, up from $14.9% in the fourth quarter of 2015, representing 10% growth.
Gross margin for the fourth quarter was 61.7%, down 2.6 points year-over-year.
Operating income for the quarter was $4.5 billion, up 5% from $4.3 billion in the same period of 2015. Net income attributable to Intel for the fourth quarter was $3.6 billion, down 1% year-over-year.
GAAP earnings per share (EPS) was $0.73, down 1% from $0.74 in the fourth quarter of 2015. Non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) was $0.79, compared with $0.76, representing 4% growth.
Client Computing Group revenue was up 4% year-over-year in the fourth quarter, producing $9.1 billion, while Data Center Group revenue was $4.7 billion, up 8% year-over-year. Non-Volatile Memory Solution Group generated revenue of $816 million, up 25% year-over-year.
Revenue generated by Intel for the full year of 2016 totalled $59.4 billion, from $55.4 billion in 2015, reflecting an increase of 7% year-over-year.
Gross margin for the full year was 60.9%, down 1.7 points from 62.9% in 2015.
Operating income for 2016 was $12.9 billion, down 8% from $14.0 billion in the previous year. Net income attributable to Intel for 2016 totalled $10.3 billion, showing a 10% decrease year-over-year from $11.4 billion in 2015.
GAAP earnings per share (EPS) was $2.12, down 9% year-over-year from $2.33. Non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) was $2.72, up 9% from $2.49 in 2015.
Client Computing Group produced $32.9 billion in 2016, representing 2% growth year-over-year, while Data Center Group revenue was $17.2 billion, up 8% year-over-year. Intel Security Group generated revenue of $2.2 billion, up 9% year-over-year.
